GEA Medical: MLS® Laser Therapy and Hilterapia® enter the Indonesian healthcare market

31 March 2026 - Corporate -

The collaboration between ASAlaser and GEA Medical Indonesia marks a strategic step in the expansion of advanced laser therapy within a rapidly growing healthcare market.

This initiative stems from the coming together of two organisations united by a strong focus on clinical quality and technological innovation, with the aim of developing new application opportunities in the field of rehabilitation.

Training and clinical application at the heart of IGNITE

The project reached its first milestone at the IGNITE – Inspiring Growth and Innovation Toward Excellence event, held in Jakarta on 20–21 February 2026.
The initiative brought together specialist physicians, physiotherapists and representatives of leading hospital groups, confirming the growing interest in evidence-based technologies.
The programme combined:

  • scientific content on laser therapy applications
  • practical demonstrations
  • interactive sessions with direct use of the devices

An approach designed to facilitate the technology's integration into everyday clinical practice.

High-intensity laser and rehabilitation solutions

The shared strategy provided for the immediate introduction of the most representative technologies from the ASA portfolio:

  • M-Hi – portable laser for flexible treatments (MLS® Laser Therapy)
  • HIRO TT high-intensity laser for deep applications (Hilterapia®
  • M8 robotic system for enhanced operational efficiency (MLS® Laser Therapy)

The hands-on sessions highlighted the potential of these solutions in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and in functional recovery pathways.

Clinical interest and initial collaborations

The event generated immediate feedback from the local healthcare system:

  • requests for clinical trials and demonstrations
  • establishment of contacts with hospitals and clinics
  • development of new opportunities for collaboration

A clear indication, therefore, of the growing interest in non-invasive, effective therapeutic approaches that can be integrated into rehabilitation protocols.

Beyond distribution: scientific and clinical development

The partnership with GEA Medical is positioned as a long-term project, aimed not only at the deployment of advanced technologies, but also at clinical and professional development.
The main focus areas include:

  • specialist training for physiotherapists and physicians
  • collaboration with local healthcare institutions
  • development of targeted clinical applications

The joint participation of DEKA, part of the El.En. Group, further strengthens the Group’s international positioning in the laser sector.

The IGNITE experience highlights a key factor: the effective introduction of advanced technologies depends on the integration of innovation, training and clinical validation.
