To mark the month dedicated to combating violence against women, the two Vicenza-based entities have joined forces to promote a culture of acceptance and gender equality
Placing a spotlight on gender-based violence by stimulating reflection and the adoption of daily actions capable of triggering change and promoting inclusion: throughout November, ASA, a Vicenza-based company specialising in the production of laser and magnetotherapy devices for human and veterinary use, has promoted a series of initiatives for its staff to raise awareness of very current issues.
Continuing on a path begun in 2024 focused on the acceptance and valorisation of diversity as an element of uniqueness and a pillar of personal and collective growth, the company involved its employees in several awareness-raising and educational sessions. These were organised in collaboration with ‘Women For Freedom’, a non-profit association from Bassano del Grappa that works with local schools and companies to foster a culture of respect. The project, born from the shared goals of the two Vicenza-based entities, aimed to promote gender balance, the value of exchange between people, and the prevention of various forms of violence to drive change.
‘A change that becomes a guideline for a process of individual and collective growth, for which the workplace can and must become an accelerator. In our vision, a company is not just a space for production and talent development, but also a place to stimulate thoughts, exchanges, and debates on issues that affect us as people,’ clarifies Giulia Sossella, ASA’s HR Manager.
With this objective, and to mark the month that also includes the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (25 November), ASA invited all its personnel on 5 November to take part in the meeting ‘Inclusive communication: culture of respect’, which placed gender-based violence at its centre. Through targeted videos, data, and on-stage activities, participants were guided not only to reflect on concepts such as equality, equity, and violence, but also to understand how seemingly ‘neutral’ daily actions and behaviours can, in fact, contribute to consolidating a culture of gender imbalance.

‘This meeting represented a first step in an awareness-raising effort that, at ASA, has a past, but – most importantly – a future. In the spirit of continuity, the company has shown great willingness to engage and structure a path of growth for itself and its people, aware that everyone can play their part in starting a virtuous cycle with positive effects for the entire community,’ confirms Sara Memo, Project Manager at Women For Freedom.
Building on this awareness, the company also organised a visit to the exhibition held at the ‘LiberaMenti – Women For Freedom’s Biennale’ festival (in Bassano until 21 December), where art becomes a stimulus for exchange, a metaphor for the acceptance of others, and an expression of freedom, the central theme of the 2025 edition.
But that’s not all.

To mark 25 November, ASA also created an installation on its premises. From 25 November to 2 December, the company’s entrance staircase was transformed into a stage: a series of red shoes brought by every woman working at ASA were placed on the steps together with a poster listing the names of all women who have been victims of femicide since the beginning of 2025. A red ribbon bearing the names of the female employees was placed as a symbolic guide along the path.
‘We are aware that the path towards a reversal of this trend is still long and uphill, but as a company we have a responsibility to take action to promote a change in vision, in the approach to the individual, and in our ways of interaction. Being inclusive means respecting others, caring for the most vulnerable people, and safeguarding their freedom,’ points out Damiano Guidolin, ASA’s Chief Executive Officer.
