On World Physical Therapy Day on 8th September, the Vicenza-based company concludes the first edition of its welfare initiative, launched in 2024 and implemented in collaboration with Fisiolab 8.14 to promote the physical well-being of its employees.
ASA's welfare initiative to help improve the physical well-being of its employees ends on 8 September 2025, coinciding with World Physical Therapy Day (World PT Day). In the name of health protection and prevention, the company from Arcugnano that specialises in the production of laser and magnetic therapy systems for physiotherapy and rehabilitation in the human and veterinary settings, offered its employees a musculoskeletal screening and, if necessary, the development of a specific intervention plan.
Thanks to the collaboration with Fisiovan 8.14 – a mobile physiotherapy clinic created by Fisiolab 8.14 and certified by the local health authority, editor's note – company employees were able to check their physical condition so they could take preventative action. In some cases, the intervention also involved the use of instrumental therapy, entrusted to some ASA devices already in use at the clinic.
“We are satisfied with this project, which has garnered widespread support from our employees, as the data also confirm. More than 60% of employees have taken advantage of the service, – explains Giulia Sossella, ASA HR Manager - which consisted of 4 sessions dedicated to carrying out the therapy. A result that already numerically underscores the appreciation received by this initiative, which is also supported by another intervention aimed at promoting well-being”.
In the spirit of physical well-being, in addition to the physiotherapy sessions directly within the mobile clinic, ASA has organised – at its headquarters – postural gymnastics sessions that taught participants simple exercises that they can also do at their desks, to improve their muscular condition.
Initiatives of this calibre have a positive impact on the quality of the work and on the professional performance of company personnel. This is highlighted by the feedback collected from those who have benefited: an internal satisfaction survey revealed that the treatments and physiotherapy advice were beneficial for all participants. 83% also stated that they “felt better at work”, highlighting “greater concentration” and “improved performance”.
100% of the company's workforce who took part in the initiative, in addition to expressing a high level of satisfaction, also felt compelled to “recommend that colleagues who did not participate in this first edition of the project should also take part”.
In addition to ASA personnel, Nicola Gubiolo, a physiotherapist at Fisiolab 8.14, also underlines the merits of projects focused on well-being in the workplace.
“Having the opportunity to benefit from physiotherapy sessions in the workplace provides the certainty of having constant and periodic monitoring of one's condition. In ASA’s case, we began with preventive treatments, even for people who did not experience any discomfort, in order to offer advice and exercises to counter the at-risk positions and postures that workers tend to maintain on a daily basis. Where, for example, the most stressed area for office workers is the neck and shoulders, for warehouse workers, the lumbar region is the most problematic. Acting on prevention is therefore crucial and highly appreciated. This is confirmed by the many ASA employees who have benefited and that, at the end of each session, were truly very satisfied. For example, those who had suffered an acute event, such as a sprained ankle or knee, understood the importance of continuing with physiotherapy treatment”.
“Being ‘Sustainable’, for ASA means not only making investments to protect the social ecosystem and the environment in which it operates, but also taking care of its resources with tangible actions. We are convinced that making people feel good in the workplace is the premise on which to structure a company that wants to grow responsibly and consciously”
concludes Damiano Guidolin, General Manager and CEO of ASA.
