Growth, training, and AI: ASA invests in human capital and technological innovation

16 February 2026 - Corporate -

The Vicenza-based company, specialised in the production of laser therapies and devices for human and veterinary care, is closing out 2025 with a focus on training and innovation through ongoing investments. These investments include two NVIDIA DGX high-performance inferential computing units.

Innovation, training, and R&D are yet again the cornerstones of ASA's growth in 2025.The Arcugnano-based company closed the year by not only increasing investments in these specific areas, but also by expanding the production and sales of its devices, which are currently distributed in 68 countries worldwide, with a strong presence in the United States, Europe, and Asia. The best sales performance was recorded, in particular, by the systems for the "Human" division (exceeding 2,000 products), while the number of devices for the "veterinary" sector remained in line with 2024.

Primary resource: people

A positive sign also comes from internal resources, the company's primary asset. The company currently employs 73 people (66 in 2024, ed.) to whom ASA allocated a total of 2.087 hours of training in 2025, with an average of approximately 28 hours per capita. This figure is particularly significant when compared to the previous season, when the ASA women and men completed 1,704 hours of training (an average of 23.8 hours per capita).

“In the year just ended, – notes Giulia Sossella, ASA HR Manager, – the primary focus of the training hours was on new hires, who were able to benefit from 1,074 hours of courses, webinars, and meetings designed to enhance their professionalism and to facilitate the creation of teams that leverage cross-generational and experiential influences”.

Training is a cornerstone for ASA, as is also confirmed by its 2026 plans, which see the company at the forefront in providing both technical and soft skills-focused growth paths.

“For ASA, “being innovative” and “innovating” also means experimenting with new methodologies and tools that foster proactive engagement between its people, enhancing their skills, and bringing out their talent and aptitudes, thus building effective work teams”.

Continuous innovation: two high-tech computing units join the company

ASA's 2025 vision has also been defined by its ongoing investments in innovation. This includes the acquisition of two NVIDIA DGX high-performance computing units, which will help innovate the way it builds its devices and business processes, ensuring privacy and offering new tools to support internal resources. Integrating a corporate strategy centred on "process innovation", "data sovereignty", and the "valorisation of human capital", the two units will enable ASA, one of the first companies in Europe to do so, to develop "natively" intelligent proprietary models capable of self-diagnostics and real-time optimisation. Their technology will also allow the company to redesign the internal workflows, making them more agile and predictive, and to have full control over the information supply chain, ensuring privacy-by-design in line with the GDPR and the new European AI Act, while simultaneously guaranteeing complete confidentiality for customers and partners.

“The introduction of these technologies, – says Damiano Guidolin, General Manager of ASA, - is a decisive step. With this investment, we confirm our commitment to driving innovation not just in the devices we sell, but in the very way we design and build them. We want technology to be an accelerator for our people and a guarantee of security for our customers: keeping the digital "brain" in-house allows us to comply with the strictest privacy regulations and, at the same time, to evolve our industrial processes with the speed that today's market demands”.
