Italy secured 15 medals and the top spot in the medal table at the 2026 European Paralympic Championships. A historic achievement that ASA was proud to support, thanks to its MLS® Laser Therapy device M-Hi which accompanied the Italian Fencing Federation’s medical staff.
With six gold, three silver, and six bronze medals, the Italian national Paralympic fencing team concluded the 2026 European Championships in Cardiff with an extraordinary performance, writing a new chapter in the history of Italian sport.
The silver medal won by the men’s sabre team capped off this record-breaking event. This final podium finish brought Italy’s total medal count to 15, surpassing the previous record set in Terni in 2018 and confirming Italy’s position at the pinnacle of European Paralympic fencing.

Behind every major sporting achievement lies a team effort involving not only athletes and coaches but also the doctors and therapists who work every day to safeguard the health and physical condition of the competitors.
In Cardiff, the Italian Fencing Federation’s medical staff utilised M-Hi, an ASA device for MLS® Laser Therapy. This patented technology is designed to assist healthcare professionals in managing pain and inflammation, as well as in facilitating functional recovery.
The presence of M-Hi at an international competition of this calibre further demonstrates ASA’s commitment to the world of sports, as well as the keen interest sports medicine professionals hold towards advanced technological solutions that can be seamlessly integrated into clinical practice.
For ASA, it is a source of great satisfaction to see its technology utilised in an environment where preparation, medical expertise, and a focus on the individual needs of athletes play a fundamental role.
Congratulations to the entire Italian national paralympic fencing team, as well as to the coaches and medical staff, on an achievement that celebrates talent, determination, and the value of teamwork.
This success already sets its sights on future international events, leading up to the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.
