Super Italy at the World Fencing Championships: with the contribution of ASAlaser, too!

An Italian triumph at the World Fencing Championships held in Moscow from 13^th to 19^th July! A double gold for the men and women of the foil fencing team: 2 finals with the same opponent, Russia, which was on home ground. With the addition of these two medals, which were won on the last day of the championships, the final count became five (four golds and a bronze), taking Italy to second place in the medals list. Congratulations to all the athletes, in particular Batini, Di Francesca, Errigo and Vezzali, the foil “Dream Team” girls who beat the Russian team which included the new world champion Inna Deriglazova, reaching a total of 15 wins!
Happiness and great satisfaction emanated from the whole staff of the Italian National Team, athletes, trainers, athletic preparers, and even the physiotherapy team. Among them was Dr. Alessandro Pagliaccia, head of the Medical staff, who used the MLS^® Laser therapy and Hilterapia^® systems during the whole period of the championships as a support to the athletes on the piste. This winning relationship with the Italian fencing team has been continuing since 2008, when in Peking the physiotherapy team selected ASAlaser as a therapy support during the match preparation phases and in case of accidents on the piste. «Together with my medical staff,» said Dr. Pagliaccia, the day after second position on the medals list was obtained, «I had the chance to use ASAlaser devices for acute problems that required a fast answer, something that allowed the athletes to return to the piste quickly.
