Chile: MLS® gives a masterclass in two universities

The Universidad Autónoma de Chile and the Universidad Andrés Bello hosted two in-depth sessions dedicated to MLS® Laser Therapy as part of two seminars entitled respectively “Physical agents: the high-power laser” and “High-power laser, an emerging therapeutic asset for rehabilitation”.

Organised with the collaboration of our local distributor Andover, the two meetings aimed to explain not just the technology underlying the therapy, but also its uses and benefits and were attended by kinesiology graduates, post-graduate Master degree students and professors..

“Karla Salazar, ASA Export Area Manager states: “200 sector professionals attended the speech just in the Andrés Bello University, displaying a keen attention and a strong interaction with our speaker, who was able to stimulate the audience by dividing the intervention into two sessions, one practical and one theoretical”.

Where on the one hand the theoretical analysis provided details concerning the use of the laser, on the other, the hands-on session allowed verifying its effectiveness immediately.

“In order to experience first-hand the ease of use of MLS® and its results – Salvatore Germano, ASA Field Application Specialist and lecturer of both speeches, explains – I invited two volunteers from those attending who had some muscle problems to undergo a short treatment with the M8 device. I explained to the audience in real time what I was doing, and the use of the therapy was even more comprehensible”.

A therapy that in addition to being employed during the acute, subacute and chronic phases of issues linked to inflammations and to musculo-skeletal problems, also has additional benefits: it causes no pain to the patient, it is not toxic and it can be used on a daily basis.

“Last but not least: MLS® offers quick results, producing a considerable anti-inflammatory effect right from the first sessions. A self-evident help for the daily work of physiotherapists”, Germano concludes.

“We can state that the objective of disseminating the value of the MLS® Laser Therapy by providing information concerning the possibility of employing a valid tool for improving patients’ quality of life has been achieved. MLS® passed the exam with flying colours!” Salazar concludes.
