Cookie Policy

This page provides full information concerning the use of cookies (technical and profiling) used on this website.
Please read our page Privacy Policy for further information concerning the processing of personal data, which is carried out as a result of browsing the website.

WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text strings which the websites visited by the user send to his/her terminal (usually to the browser), where they are stored and then sent back to the same websites the next time the user visits these. While browsing a site, the user may also receive cookies on his/her terminal which are sent by different websites or web servers (so-called "third-party cookies"), which could contain a few elements (such as, for example, images, maps, sounds, specific links to pages of other domains) of the website that the user is visiting.

TYPES OF COOKIES

Cookies are classified into two categories:

  • Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of "transmitting a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such a service" (see Article 122, paragraph 1, of the Privacy Code). They are not used for further purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or operator of the website. They can be divided into navigation or session cookies, which ensure normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or to be authenticated in order to access restricted areas); analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies when used directly by the website operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the website itself; functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of criteria (for example, language, products chosen for purchase) selected in order to improve the service provided. Installing such cookies does not require prior consent by users, whereas the obligation to provide information pursuant to art. 13 of the Code remains.

  • Profiling cookies are designed to create user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while navigating. Due to the particular invasiveness that such devices may have in the users’ private sphere, the European and Italian legislation envisages that the user must be adequately informed about their use and thus express his/her consent to their use.

This site uses both technical and profiling cookies.

HOW CAN YOU MANAGE COOKIES?
In order that visitors to the website may make an informed choice concerning the use of cookies, not only in relation to those used on this website, please note the following:

  1. All commercially available browsers allow you to define your preferences in general concerning the use of cookies; the related functions are normally accessible from the "Browser settings" page;
  2. A free service is available online at: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/ which provides a list of "behavioural" (i.e. profiling) cookies on the device you are using to browse, which allows you to choose whether to enable them or not, both individually and collectively; we recommend that you use this service;
  3. In general, disabling profiling cookies does not inhibit the proper functioning of the websites visited and of the browser used;
  4. The company assumes no responsibility for the information provided at this point of the document, which should therefore be considered as suggestions that those who browse should check before using.
