Are you a woman between 20 and 40 years old? The possibility that you may suffer from temporomandibular disorders is a very real risk. Recent studies have confirmed that about 5-12% of the population has problems with their chewing muscles, temporomandibular joints (TMJ) and other anatomical structures of the face, neck and skull, with a significant majority in the female population. TMJ in particular is up to four times more common in women than in men.
