FIS Conference: space also for the high-intensity laser
Is a high-intensity laser suitable for improving sports physiotherapists’ practices? This and other questions were answered by the speech held by Doctor Alessandro Pagliaccia (physician of the Federazione Italiana Scherma – FIS (Italian Fencing Federation)) dedicated to physical therapy in the context of sports given during the practical-theoretical course “The Sports Physiotherapist: clinical and operational aspects”. Sponsored by FIS and by the Master Course in Physiotherapy applied to sports of the University of Siena, the event, which took place on 24th and 25th November at the Monteverde Club in Rome, welcomed 80 participating sports doctors, orthopaedists, radiologists, physiatrists, physiotherapists and sports science graduates who were able not only to discuss and get to know the traumatology problems related to various physical activities, but also to acquire important information concerning treatments and therapies.
“Our high-intensity laser, which has been available to FIS therapists for 10 years, was rated by Doctor Pagliaccia as one of the often decisive treatments in order to deal with issues linked to the sports sector: an important reference point for our company – says Alberto Zaghetto, ASAlaser’s Area Manager – which has always concentrated on developing therapeutic solutions which in addition to improving quality of life, also improve performance recovery”.
